Spain’s Audax wins contract to supply 2.2 GWh of green power in Navarre
Spanish renewable energy supplier Audax Renovables has secured a new public-sector electricity supply contract in the autonomous region of Navarre, reinforcing its position in Spain’s fast-growing green power market.
Under the agreement, Audax will deliver 2.2 GWh of 100% renewable electricity over a two-year period to the municipality of Valle de Elorz. The supply will cover 55 municipal consumption points, including public buildings and infrastructure serving several local communities in the area.
A key feature of the contract is its fixed-price structure, which shields the municipality from wholesale market volatility while providing long-term cost predictability. In addition to clean power supply, Audax will also support energy monitoring and optimisation, helping local authorities better manage consumption patterns.
From an environmental perspective, the contract is expected to avoid more than 400 tonnes of CO₂ emissions during its lifetime, contributing directly to Navarre’s regional decarbonisation targets and Spain’s broader energy transition goals.
The deal highlights a continuing trend across Spain, where municipalities are increasingly turning to green electricity procurement as a practical tool to control energy costs, reduce emissions, and demonstrate climate leadership. For Audax, the contract further strengthens its public-sector footprint and underlines the growing role of renewable suppliers in local energy strategies.
