PAD RES secures financing for 310 MW of solar farms in Poland

PAD RES has secured a major financing package to support its growing solar portfolio in Poland, reinforcing investor confidence in the country’s utility-scale PV market.

The company obtained approximately PLN 637 million in financing for a portfolio of nine operational solar power plants with a combined installed capacity of 310 MW. The funding is structured primarily as a refinancing facility, aimed at optimizing the capital structure of assets that have already reached commercial operation.

The financed portfolio is expected to generate around 330 GWh of electricity annually, supplying clean power to tens of thousands of households while contributing to Poland’s ongoing transition away from coal-based generation. The fact that most projects are already operational significantly reduces construction and delivery risk, making the transaction particularly attractive for lenders.

This deal highlights a broader shift in the Polish renewables market: solar PV assets are increasingly being treated as stable, long-term infrastructure investments rather than purely development-stage projects. As refinancing and asset-level debt transactions accelerate, Poland continues to position itself as one of the most attractive solar markets in Central and Eastern Europe.

PAD RES’s financing marks another clear signal that mature PV portfolios in the region can successfully access large-scale bank funding, supporting further expansion and long-term asset management strategies.
