Levanta Renewables has expanded its renewable energy footprint in Southeast Asia through the acquisition of a 93-MWp portfolio of ground-mounted solar assets in Thailand, reinforcing the country’s role as a core market within the company’s regional strategy.

The newly acquired portfolio spans multiple sites across eight Thai provinces and is expected to generate more than 140 GWh of clean electricity annually. Power from the assets is sold under long-term power purchase agreements with Thailand’s state electricity offtakers, ensuring stable and predictable cash flows.
The transaction further strengthens Levanta’s operational scale in Thailand, where the company already manages more than 330 MWp of installed solar capacity. Backed by global investment firm Actis, Levanta continues to pursue disciplined growth through acquisitions of operating assets alongside greenfield development.
This deal aligns with Levanta’s broader ambition to reach 1.5 GW of renewable energy capacity across Southeast Asia by 2028, reflecting sustained investor confidence in the region’s long-term solar fundamentals. Thailand, in particular, remains attractive due to its established PPA framework, strong irradiation profile, and supportive grid infrastructure.
As regional electricity demand continues to rise, transactions such as this highlight the increasing role of operational solar portfolios in accelerating decarbonisation while delivering resilient, long-term value for investors.
