Hypset Solar delivered Qingyuan 11.8 MW fishery-solar PV project

An 11.8 MW fishery–solar complementary PV project in Qingyuan was delivered using Hypset Solar Technology cable-structure mounting systems designed for large spans and minimal civil works.

The project features PV structures with a 3.5 m clearance above water and a 40 m design span, specifically adapted to existing fishpond layouts. This approach enabled full utilization of the site without requiring additional construction areas. Foundation demand was reduced by up to 80%, significantly lowering civil works and installation impact.

Thanks to the optimized structural design, module density per unit area increased by around 35%, while overall energy yield improved by up to 5%. The elevated, large-span configuration allows aquaculture activities to continue uninterrupted beneath the PV system, effectively integrating renewable power generation with fish farming.
