Ceigall India Limited has approved the incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary, Ceigall Green Energy MP Limited, to execute 130 MW (AC) solar PV projects across two districts in Madhya Pradesh.

The decision was taken by the company’s Management Committee, which cleared an initial equity subscription of INR 100,000 (~USD 1,100) for the new special purpose vehicle. The subsidiary will develop grid-connected photovoltaic power plants under the PM KUSUM-C programme, supplying power to Surya Mitra Krishi Feeders aimed at strengthening agricultural electricity infrastructure.
The solar projects follow multiple awards received from Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd on 23 December 2025, marking Ceigall’s continued expansion in India’s distributed and agricultural solar segment.
In parallel, the committee also approved the acquisition of 100% equity in Velgaon Power Transmission Limited for INR 500,000 (~USD 5,500), representing 50,000 equity shares at INR 10 each. Velgaon Power Transmission is responsible for the 400/220 kV Velgaon Substation, awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding process by Rural Electrification Corporation (REC).
Together, these moves underline Ceigall India’s strategy to strengthen its presence across renewable generation and power transmission infrastructure in India.
