Anesco has acquired the 36MWp Beachampton solar farm project from One Planet Developments.

The project was originally developed by One Planet in partnership with Viridi Re Development, Solar Ambition Europe, and landowner Kingwell. Once operational, the solar farm is expected to generate enough electricity to power around 9,000 homes annually, while avoiding approximately 5,700 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year.
Planning permission for the scheme was granted by Buckinghamshire Council on 12 January 2024, with grid connection to National Grid Electricity Distribution scheduled for early 2027.
Beyond clean power generation, the project includes strong environmental commitments. Approved plans incorporate biodiversity net gains, such as hedgerow enhancements and the planting of new woodland trees, aligning renewable energy development with long-term land and ecosystem improvement.
Commenting on the acquisition, Anesco CEO Hildagarde McCarville said the deal supports the company’s mission to accelerate the UK’s transition to secure, sustainable energy. She highlighted that Anesco has already energised more than 1.1 GW of solar and storage assets and aims to further expand its pipeline through strategic partnerships.
From the seller’s side, One Planet’s business development director James Stoney noted that the company has planning consent for 100 MW of solar across two sites, with additional projects under development and 500 MW of consented BESS capacity, signalling strong near-term deal flow.
Landowner Alistair Emery added that the project not only diversifies the farm’s business model but also enhances environmental quality, combining biodiversity improvements with low-carbon energy production.
