Argentina’s renewable energy sector has marked an important milestone with the early commissioning of 140 MW at the San Rafael solar power plant in Mendoza province. Developed by Genneia, the project is progressing toward its full 180 MW installed capacity and stands out as one of the most significant solar PV developments currently underway in the country.

Over the past few years, the rapid decline in the cost of solar panels and battery storage has begun to fundamentally reshape how electricity is produced and consumed in South Africa and across large parts of Africa. Voltalia has officially started construction of a large-scale hybrid renewable energy and battery storage cluster in Uzbekistan, marking a significant milestone in the country’s clean energy transition.
